ST. PAULI GIRL BEER DEBUTS 2007 NATIONAL AD CAMPAIGN
CHICAGO – February 2007 –
St. Pauli Girl beer unveiled its new print ad
campaign with the new tagline, "Drop Dead Refreshing". The new creative
features the next generation of alluring St. Pauli Girl images.
St. Pauli Girl's 2007 print advertising campaign evolves from the
previous year's work. It brings the brand to life with a female
transformed into a beer image but with a new twist. The attractive
poses developed for the campaign were actually photographed in studio
with the help of a renowned and popular model. At this point, St. Pauli
Girl is not revealing this woman's identity, but expects their brand
fans to weigh-in and venture their guesses at www.stpauligirl.com. The
company plans to reveal her identity this spring.
"This campaign takes the highly successful 2006 campaign to a new level
and introduces our new tag line which reflects the essence of the brand
along with St. Pauli Girl's edgy sense of humor," said Fred Graefenhain,
vice president of marketing for Crown Imports, St. Pauli Girl's U.S.
importer.
The new executions will premiere in March and April issues of select
national magazines including Esquire, Maxim, Men's Health, Playboy,
Rolling Stone, Backpacker, and Sports Illustrated.
"The experience consumers have with the St. Pauli Girl brand is
personal," said Bill Eisner, partner at Nonbox, the agency of record for
St. Pauli Girl. "We wanted to create a visually and emotionally
appealing page where each reader could fill in the blanks with their own
experiences."
The new national print creative will be augmented with outdoor ads that
have short, humorous copy in key markets including Baltimore, Chicago,
Las Vegas, Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, Philadelphia, Providence, San Diego,
San Francisco-San Jose, Seattle and Tampa-St. Petersburg beginning in
May.
